Team Technologies a réalisé un très gros spectacle pour le cinquantenaire de la radioastronomie francaise sur le site du grand radiotéléscope de Nancay,deuxième au monde par sa taille après Arecibo au nouveau mexique.
3 camions 38T de matériel ont été nécessaires pour mettre en lumière et raconter l'histoire de cet impressionant radiotéléscope, de nombreuses techniques audiovisuelles et effets spéciaux ont été utilisées lumière, son, vidéo, laser, jets d'eau ...
Team Technologies carried out a very large spectacle for the fiftieth anniversary of French radioastronomy on the site of the large radiotéléscope of Nancay, second in the world by its size after Arecibo in new Mexico.
3 trucks 38 Tons of technics were necessary to light and to tell the story of the incredible radiotéléscope, many audio-visual techniques and special effects were used : light, sound, video, laser, water jets ...

LE DEFI D'UN SITE GEANT / THE CHALLENGE OF A GIANT SITE

Les ondes reçues tombent sur un premier miroir qui est un plan de 200 m x 40 m, et dont on peut régler l'inclinaison:
on choisit ainsi le point du ciel à étudier. Ce réflecteur, comme le suivant, est recouvert d'un grillage dont la maille 
est de 12.5 mm, et sa forme est précise à mieux que 5 mm près. Les ondes arrivent ensuite sur un miroir fixe,
situé à 460 m du premier, et mesurant 300 m x 35 m. Celui-ci est sphérique, de 560 m de rayon. Il concentre donc
les ondes en un point, son foyer, situé entre les deux miroirs. On les y recueille dans des antennes .

Waves coming from space first are reflected by a flat mirror of 200 x 40 meter size, which can be rotated around a horizontal axis,
so it can be pointed towards different points on the sky. This reflector, like the other described below,
is covered with a mesh with 12.5 mm square holes, and its surface is accurate to about 5 mm rms. It reflects the waves towards
a fixed mirror, 460 meter away, which measures 300 x 35 meter, and has a spherical shape with a radius of 560 meter.
It concentrates the incoming waves towards a point, its focus, which lies in between the two mirrors.
There they are received by antennas.

La vulgarisation scientifique au travers des spectacles sons et lumières a toujours été pour moi une pré occupation et une
motivation car elle porte en elle un des moteurs de l'enrichissement personnel par l'effort de compréhension qu'elle demande.
La perfection est un tour de force d'adéquation entre un sujet trop approfondi par les scientifiques et donc parfois difficile pour
lle public très varié, et une simplification trop exagérée laissant au public l'opportunité d'extrapoler des innexactitudes.
Une fois la tramme écrite, tout est question de rythme pour capter l'attention du public tout en sublimant le site
pour l'émotion et l'émerveillement des plus petits au plus grands ....

The scientific popularization through sound and light performance always was for me a concern and a motivation because
 it carries in it one of the engines of personal enrichment by the effort of comprehension which it asks. 
The perfection is that a turn of force of adequacy enters a subject too thorough by the scientists and sometimes difficult
for the very varied public, and a too exaggerated simplification leaving with the public the advisability of extrapolating inaccuracies.
Once the written tramme, all is question of rate/rhythm to collect the attention of the public while sublimating the site
for the emotion and the amazement of childrens to adults ...
